Oh mood, I remember the chaos me n my friends frequently did of just......keysmash naming our art 8'))))))) I think I'd crack up if I were to look back at any folders now and see that mess lmao😂
Nowadays on the iPad I at least name them by like....story/project name (or the source/media name if it's fanart) and 01, 02, 03 etc :') mad respect to ppl who like........properly NAME their projects and files.
I used to just keysmash stuff but it quickly got to the point where it would always be like "askjdhf already exists, would you like to replace it?" so I switched to the date thing so that I can never accidentally name two files the same thing lol
Oh man there was smth deeply humiliating (but objectively hysterical) about doing a long keysmash and being told it already exists pfff💀😔

protip: use YYYYMMDD (or YYYY-MM-DD) and the files will sort themselves chronologically automatically!
Huh, neat, I wouldn't have thought of that! Unfortunately if I look at any date format other than M/D/Y my brain dissolves and I get stunlocked for like thirty seconds trying to parse it. Also I usually sort my files reverse-chronologically anyway. Cool tip though

Every time I load up sonic adventure and try to read the dates on the save files I get dumber and sluttier
Thanks for the tip! I have always been D/M/Y so might be a bit hard to adapt, but seems worth it as I haven't started naming my files this way.
