I thought about doing something like that but I hate making new accounts for stuff and also I think I remember hearing something about imgur deleting a bunch of "old, inactive, unused" images or something so I personally didn't feel like trusting them and putting in the effort to set up there if there was a chance they'd just decide to delete all my shit in a few years if people didn't look at it enough or whatever. Hopefully it works for you, though!
I've heard a handful of people say that they just upload the images to a post here on cohost and save that as a draft instead of publishing it, then just link to that image in the actual post. I've done this and it works fine, but I also like to use my drafts for like. their intended purpose, and didn't want them clogged with images, so instead I created a private page and just threw all my images up there. The posts are private, but you can still link to the attachments.
It's still a little tedious, with the 4-image-per-post limit and all, but at least this way I don't have to worry about having an account on some other thing. There's plenty of options out there, and they're all at least a little annoying lol
