Specifically made a profile picture for this account just to prove that I am a real human (horny) and not a robot (horny?)
As a tumblr user, big same tbh๐ญ makes me hella anxious and I can't help but squint suspiciously at the empty, generic profiles I see liking my art sometimes,,,,
yeah I started actually using tumblr again semi-recently and when I first started posting again I was getting like multiple bot follows every day, it was like "Oh, it's bad bad over here" lol
Tumblr has always been my primary social media (I only use Twitter n insta to follow artists I never post), and I can confirm it's,,,,,,,,p bad lmao the most annoying thing (to me) is that it's in WAVES ://// so you'll think you're safe for a while then suddenly you're having to beat 10 a day away with a stick ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
I still cross-post my art from here to art tumblr sideblogs, and regular blogging from my main there, but otherwise cohost is the only place I'm putting my art :')
I've had this same feeling but then have to remind myself there's a delay between when you join and when you can post. Later on they may or may not go "Hey I can post now!!" Which reassures me further. :)
I thought they removed the wait period like a year ago, did they bring it back?? Or am I misremembering? Also even if you can't post you can still fill out your pfp and bio and stuff I thought. My memory's not that great though
Oh did they do away with it? I don't remember if they did, just that the wait time was much less, so I could definitely be mistaken on my end. I haven't had any bot issues though, which is refreshing.
Yeah I think they got rid of the wait time but like I said my memory's not very good lol
I joined in summer 2023 and had a brief waiting period before I could post, and a few of the Generic Avatar Profiles that have followed me lately ended up posting "I'm free I can post now" so it seems like it might still be a thing
