Here's (almost) everything I drew in 2023 -- illustrations, sketches, doodles, little animations, scraps I've never posted before -- all in one place! Fun fact: I drew more this year than any other previous year of my life so far! So this post is gonna be LONG.
With all that out of the way, let's take a scroll down memory lane:
In a roundabout way, dropping my perfectionist attitude and letting myself slack off made me better at art in the end. And I had more fun drawing that way, too.
Yeah I had this epiphany a few years ago and it's always delightful to watch other people finally Let It Go (said in the least Elsa-like voice imaginable).
I'mmm pretty sure I've been following you for at least a year now? It's been nice gradually getting to see you finish more stuff in general, is what I'm trying to get at! :'D
I really like the way you've been using the pencil tool for lines now too, gives everything a nice soft look.

It still sometimes feels like I've only been on here like 6 months though
Oh this is so fun, I’m happy to see a whole year summery from you! So much nice art, and I wanna mention I love the “comic with way too many words”
Also the whole chilling out and not worrying about perfection with art is so important I think! Definitely something I’ve experienced.

Thank you! And yeah, it turns out the less time I spend fussing over and refining a single drawing, the more time I can spend practicing the skill of getting it right (or mostly-right) the first time.

I've absolutely adored your work this year! I did stumble across a share of your SFW work at one point while on my own SFW account, and that was odd! It was like seeing somebody you hooked up with once in public, but in a fun way.
That's an extremely weird way of phrasing that but thank you lol
Every once in a while one of my NSFW drawings gets shared onto my timeline on my SFW account, or the other way around, and it catches me super off-guard every time. There's always a split second where I think I accidentally posted on the wrong account
