  • Mostly "he" but others are fine too

Going to a city in the state of São Paulo for job exam (we call these "concursos públicos" for public job positions), first time I do one of those, if I go really well I may score a job.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions! I have yet to answer everyone, but I've downloaded like 3 games already, probably will only play these tomorrow on my way back.

Time to try to get some sleep now, see you later! :)

Oh, didn't know about that. Here these usually are sought after because public jobs are really stable and they usually tend to pay from OK to great. Usually federal jobs pay a lot better, I was applying for a municipal job at a small town

In France it used to be so you were basically guaranteed a job for life so they were sought after too, even though the pay wasn't all that great usually (unless you were in government jobs). Now though they have less and less employees and rely on temp agencies a lot. Even stuff that requires an "exam" isn't as secure as before. I was looking into library jobs and not only was there a whole lot of stuff to learn before applying it could take years to secure a stable position.

All that you described how it was is really similar to here. These public job "exams" really dried up during the Bolsonaro government, but now it seems that they are coming back

Thank you! Mine went... eh, not great hahaha. But as it was for a municipal job with few other people applying for it I hope I did ok enough to pass. At least it was an interesting experience!
