Maybe I'm wrong like I was before playing ALBW, but what I've seen so far it feels so uninspired and makes me wish even harder that we got a Mania sequel with original levels only. That game was so charming and full of personality, in spite of being built mostly upon remade levels.
At least that one Superstars gameplay video showed that it looks like it plays like Mania, but eh, meh
?what you don't like Green Hill Zones and the same obscatle types and general level ideas 80% of the time for the 200th time for 5 games in a row? Even after Sonc Frontier reused a bunch of assets from Forces and Generations lol.
Oh I haven't even touched Frontiers, doesn't look like my cup of tea.
And yeah, reimagined/remade levels were really fun in Generations, but it baffles me that they've been repeating this since 2011 and will keep doing that again and again.
style-wise it reminds me a lot of "NEW Sonic the Hedgehog", in the same vein as NSMB, if you get my drift
It gives me the impression of low budget, specially compared to the wild art from Mania.
