Creative mess!

For a while now I have been picking at this character generator I have been making for the First Edition of Eclipse Phase. It is a rather crunchy system and so it can be draining to help multiple players through the character creation process. Because of this and since I have been wanting to learn the Godot engine for a while, I decided I would kill 2 birds with one stone.

It was a slow process as I knew very little about scripting, programming, and the like. I made a lot of bonehead choices trying to figure it out. Looking at the code base now is kinda hilarious. Though, as a result, it was a lot of awkward progression and a disgusting amount of spaghetti code. But, now that I am going to school for computer programming, I have been learning logistics, some basic programming design and concepts, and generally have a better sense of how to make it flow together.

So, I decided to rebuild my efforts from the ground up, kinda. I picked the old version of the project for working parts, but reworked it to be much cleaner and readable, not to mention dropping a lot of redundancies as well as the weird duct tape coding I had done. I have made great headway (though there is still a lot to do and implement).

UI wise, this is where I am at with the character generator. I am not very good with the godot UI set up and I don't know how themes work all that well, but I am happy with how far I have come. It looks useable at least. It is far from such, but again looks! useable...
