But it took some serious time to figure out.
Because I just put JP in Platinum, it was too easy to think 'Silver should be easier to get through now!' and then run into frustration when, obviously, different characters have totally different responses to situations and - surprise! - you have to learn the situations all over again, from your new character's perspective and tools.
The wisdom that comes from climbing the skill ladder is not "I know how to beat lower ranks now"; it's "I know how to quickly identify patterns of play, theorize solutions with my character's tools, and execute those solutions."
Once I stopped thinking 'I should be winning,' and started relaxing into the mode of curiosity and exploration—that's when I found her tools, my experience helped me use them, and I went on a 12-win streak all the way up. She'll be joining JP in Platinum soon enough. =) Look out, world!
