But this album (Indroysn iz Finster) has so much more going for it than that. It's very well produced, with a stereo space as deep and rich as the arrangements. You can hear the wholeheartedness of every performer. Breaths and key clicks remind you that human beings are making these sounds, which always feels fresh in an era of productions which try to sound more than human and end up the less. I've been listening to this album for a few years now; I have no doubt it will be one you return to as well.
Favorite moment: the chorale that bursts out of the icy textures of track four. It's not loud, but it sounds huge. If you let yourself be engrossed in the track up til then, it's a knockout moment.
