Hey everybody! It's October, and that's release month for Wyrd! In two short weeks this album will be available on Bandcamp so make sure to follow me there!

In the meantime I have just about finished one seamlessly loopable track, and am on to another. Here's a preview of the latest sounds coming out of my studio =)

What's Wyrd, again?

Wyrd is an album of eerie ambient music that I'm designing specifically for tabletop GMs to use in their sessions!

That means it's modular: you could play the album straight through, create your own playlist, or loop any track indefinitely and switch moods as your game demands. The music will be flexible enough for any GM's particular style and needs, hands-on or hands-off!

That also means Wyrd will be released royalty-free--buy it once, credit me as the composer, and you are welcome and encouraged to use it in actual play podcasts and any other public-facing media.

Wyrd sounds awesome! How can I support it?

  • Buy me a coffee--I need music fuel! This will also help pay illustrator and concept artist Emily L'Orange for their original album art! I gotta tell you, it's looking sweet.
  • Visit my website and sign up for my monthly composer newsletter. Various materials about Wyrd will go out there, including my upcoming articles on the unique challenges of writing ambient music, or some of the cultural history of wyrd in mythology!
  • Follow me on Twitch, where I'll be livestreaming some of my studio sessions. Watch the music get made live, and ask questions about the process!
  • And of course, follow me on Bandcamp to actually get the album once it releases.

Thanks! I think another layer is still needed to help it cohere as an atmosphere, but I really like where this track is headed =) puzzle section is a great idea, it does feel very 'tumbling the pieces over in your mind'
