daily knowledge: you've probably heard of peanut butter. but have you ever heard of "all natural" peanut butter? at almost every supermarket, you can buy either peanut butter or all natural peanut butter, with the former having hydrogenated vegetable oil included to give the product a consistent, shelf stable texture, whereas all natural peanut butter does not include anything other than peanuts (and maybe salt or sugar too). the lack of a stabilizer allows the peanut oil to separate out of the product when left alone, leaving it up to the buyer to mix it back in or remove it as they see fit.
(I still prefer it, naturally)
