ever since I was introduced to Ames guides a few years ago I have been obsessed with them; not only do they address my main frustration for writing, but they're also adjustable in the best way and have big gadget energy. I have a regular one--made of clear acrylic--but I was inspired by printables' current contest to try making one that'll print (and still be useful when opaque). It turned out quite nice, I think, which is very satisfying.

I don't often go, "hey you should give me traffic" but I did enter this into the contest because everything else in it feels pretty lackluster, so if you have a printables account and want to stoke my ego give it a like! Let me win a contest for almost-fake internet points! (also if you have a printer: print it! it's neat!!)

What is this?

I'm a composer, and I want to help you make better music! I'll bring my professional listening skills to your work and give you specific feedback to immediately improve your composing, arranging, or production. My goal is to give you tips not only for your one track, but ideas you can use in all your music going forward.

Why should I get music feedback?

Making music is hard. There's so much to know, and actually using that knowledge to make music people will love can be really daunting. What makes good music 'good?' That's a question people like me spend their entire lives answering. I've been writing music for 20 years and I'm still learning--but I want to share what I've learned with you.

How much does music feedback cost?

I'm offering a sliding scale of rates in order for this to be affordable to more people but also respectful of my time. All levels will receive the same in-depth feedback!

  • $12 USD - financial need rate, no questions asked

  • $20 USD - a middle-ground rate (if I spend around 45 minutes listening to your music and recording feedback, it's a working wage)

  • $32 USD - a generous, 'help me sustain a musical career' rate if you feel inclined

  • Email me if you would like to request a no-pay or skill trade option

When will I get it?

You will receive your feedback via email within 3-4 weekdays of your submission. (I try not to work on the weekends.) If I'm concerned about meeting that deadline for any reason, I'll let you know up front.

This all sounds good! How do I get my music feedback?

Great! You can quickly pay me using this link or by scanning the QR code below. Take a screenshot as proof of payment! Then, send an email with the subject 'Feedback' or 'Music Feedback' to: emmanuel@clementcomposer.com.

Please include two things: your proof of payment, and the file you'd like me to listen to (or a link to it).

Why proof of payment? It just helps me out. Otherwise I'd have to try and match emails to names in my payment processor and so forth, and I'd rather listen to your music right away!

Let me know if you would like to me to focus my feedback on just the composition, arrangement, or production specifically. Otherwise, my feedback will be freeform and I may touch on any or all of these areas.

Feel free to ask specific questions, such as 'is the transition from the A section to the B section working?' or 'how can I make this melody feel more exciting?'

Thanks so much! I look forward to hearing your music and helping you make it even better!

Best wishes,

Emmanuel Clement
