You know, I've had an account here for nearly a year now (I joined on April Fool's Day last year, if my email is to be believed), I could probably do with actually saying hi at some point. So... hi! I'm Cliff, and I am incredibly addicted to Final Fantasy XIV, probably unsurprisingly.
I'll make a separate post for all (most of) my characters eventually (I have like 20+ of them at this point. I can't stop making characters, this game's character creator is just too good). For now though, these are my two "mains", Sara (left, she/her) and Cliff (right, he/him) Jameston. I'm on Sara far more often (she's my actual main), but they're both the two I take photos of most (they're married, it's real easy to just toss them into each other's photos and stories).

Sara and Cliff are both co-Warriors of Light, though I haven't super thought through how that works in my lore yet. Sara is the far more magically gifted one of the two (she's a Red Mage main), with Cliff being very limited magically, and thus more martially inclined (He's a Paladin, but we're just ignoring all the casting it has, lol). The two met mid-ARR, but only got together around Stormblood. I'm still working out when they get married in canon, because IRL they got married after I'd been finished with Endwalker for like a half a year, so I need to finish replaying the story to get a better sense of how time actually works in it for them. It's either just before or just after Shadowbringers proper, though (The two are separated for the events of Shadowbringers, so only Sara is present for them).
Sara is a relentlessly determined woman, quick to provoke and hard to deter. She's incredibly passionate about the people and things she loves, and makes time for them whenever she's needed, despite how busy she always seems to be. She enjoys big projects (she has both the Pteranodon from the Diadem and every Master craftsman title, for example), though she could probably be a lot better about allocating her time to them (this definitely isn't me talking to myself >.>).
The illegitimate daughter of Noah van Gabranth, Sara was born and raised in Landis and raised to eventually be in the IVth Legion. She wasn't allowed to pursue her interest in both black and white magic though, so she ended up stowing away on a ship bound to Ala Mhigo to find the Crimson Duelists, about 5-10 years before the events of ARR (I swear I had it written down exactly how long it was somewhere, but now I can't find those notes).
Cliff on the other hand, despite sharing my name, has a fair bit less characterization at the moment. He's much less inclined to combat, preferring to at least try negotiation first whenever possible. He's obsessed with his wife (that probably says something about me that I'm just not gonna examine right now). He is also catastrophically bad at cooking, though he so badly wants to get better at it. Last, he has the ability to shapeshift into a large wolf (don't ask me to justify this in universe, I have absolutely no desire to, lol).
Yeah, if you couldn't tell, I've thought about these two a lot in the two and a half years (good lord, really?) I've been playing this game, lol. I'm looking forward to posting more shots of them (and just of the environment, too. I love taking photos in this game).
