Funni agender aro girlthing weirdo
I'm not telling yall my exact age, all you need to know is I'm old enough.
The hell man, I was just making a joke. What are earth makes you think I was bragging about living in a hellhole.
I mean yeah I kinda blew up a bit when I didn't need to but the joke is literally "Oh you think that's hot? I live in a different place" which everyone from any US state with a desert always says anytime anyone from anywhere else says "hey we hit record heat to dangerous levels" and it's annoying and silly. It's not about you specifically, it's about that attitude towards a literal health warning. I hate it and I feel like maybe being frank about it will make people think a bit more
Also other parts of the world are super unequipped to deal with heat like the southern US is. Most housing in PNW and further north in canada has no AC. Usually not even supplemental AC, no portable units around no nothing. There's a reason why heat waves up there kill so many people despite the temperatures not being like, 110F+.
So not to dogpile but... yeah. Lame joke, not funny, etc.

Sorry how I came off, but my intent was to just kind of share in the misery in the moment, like a dark joke. In retrospect, the text alone didn't really put that across and I am sorry about that.
But I'm also genuinely hurt you went right towards aggression as your response. That shouldn't be how any of us treat each other on here. This is stuff we should have left in twitter or tumblr or whatever hellsite we migrated from. I'll delete the post in a few minutes.
Hey I appreciate you reflecting on it and as I said in another post, as a default I'm sure you're a smart and good person so I'm not trying to attack you personally. It's just a sentiment that I don't like that's all. Sorry if I came off too harsh from the jump but that's how I feel
The '22 heat dome was... fucking horrific. Out in the Okanagan we were hitting nearly 50°c (americans can search conversions it's not hard), and my workplace had spots over 60° at complete saturation humidity. I grew up in the desert down in California. That's not normal heat even down there, and the infrastructure is more adapted to it to start with. I'm surprised the death toll wasn't higher even. It was fucking obscene. This year may not be -that- bad but it's too hot and too hunid too early and too quickly to that point. August is gonna fucking suck especially.
