This is really bad. The right-click workaround was never good, but it was simple enough to be usable for the average user. Many people aren't going to figure out how to use this new system.

there's no non-malicious way to explain this change, right?
there's already the check for notarised apps, and a warning, so if a user doesn't trust the app enough, they won't run it. all this does is make it harder for someone trying to use an app they trust but apple doesn't.
Well, this is just about the least useful time to learn control+click skipped the rigmarole
This aligns with how you need to go into the settings menu to give apps permissions. Which sucks!
