  • baking soda is literally twice as expensive as washing soda. just buy washing soda.
  • yarn is way expensive. i also seriously doubt this solution would last very many washes, so you're going through a lot of oil. btw, this bit is still a product pitch for essential oils.

i haven't' really priced out plain laundry detergent, but 80x seems unlikely. i'd be surprised if it was more than 10% cheaper.

Yeah, tightly woven wool balls that are specifically sold as dryer balls seem likely to be cheaper than what they're describing here? (I see 2 for $5 at a local pharmacy) Those do last for years.

My mom tried using essential oils with them, and yep, you need to reapply it pretty much every time you use them if you actually want them to smell
