This is what Tech milking an existing company for dry looks like. "You need a fancy webpage! No no, Really fancy. You need AI!" it's like watching someone you hate scam someone else you also hate. And both of them somehow become more unbearable because of it. Mixed feelings.

the Might and Magic 1 setup for Optimal Experience is so fucking hilarious:

  • purchase and download it from GoG (along with MM2-5 as a bonus!) to have it with a preconfigured dosbox setup here
  • download Where Are We? which is a single .exe that sits in a zip folder on an Apache server that was last updated in 2015 to have a full feature automap with note taking, proper item descriptions, handy spell reference and a robust character creator that lets you roll by the thousands and pick and choose what you want to keep (or adjust it with weighted point values). this also works with Might and Magic 2-5, Wizardry 1-5, and Bard's Tale 1-3. feel free to download the included surface maps which allows you to use the physical maps that came with the games as the background for when you are traveling on the overworld here
  • download the Might and Magic 1 graphic overhaul mod because the DOS version of MM1 is truly a impressively hideous looking game, this zip is buried on the dungeoncrawlers.org fansite, you just dump it out in the main game directory and let it overwrite what it needs to here
  • find the single post in a GoG thread that contains a jpg attachment, this jpg is renamed to .exe and you run it once in the game directory to patch the message speed to not blink past in a single frame so that you can enjoy responsive cycle speed and still understand what's happening. here
  • boot up Might and Magic, boot up Where Are We?, fiddle with windows and delight at the wealth of information and clarity, die to the first pack of Battle Rats.

i get it... we all have stuff we don't like doing around the house, people weren't meant to be ultra-independent and hyper-functional at all times, we probably all have The Pile™ of something. this is where i come in (if you so desire)

THE RUNDOWN:

  • Can do the typical cleaning/housework (i.e: vacuuming, dusting, mopping, laundry, etc.) but larger and more-involved tasks (like a "move-out clean" or deep cleaning from pet damage) are a little outside of my scope currently. I bring my own equipment and can travel by car anywhere within a reasonable distance of Seattle.
  • Cost is $35 per hour. However, I also live in the area and understand that it is Unfortunately Expensive, and I work on a sliding-scale for those whose budgets don't typically allow them to have some cleaning done.
  • I do my own scheduling and can work outside of the typical 8am-5pm cleaner timeframe if your schedule doesn't allow for it. Cleaning can be a one-time session or set up on a regular schedule.
  • I test regularly for covid, and I can test before each visit and provide results upon request. I'll also be wearing an N95 mask, as I do for daily use.
  • I am (relatively) normal and nice :)

if you're interested, fill out this form right here and i'll be in touch. okay bye!!!!
