Original Character

Effie, one of the Ascended Arms of the Kraken. Her preferred body is an electromagical drone composed of a magnetic aqueous solution with a suspension of electronics managing its form projecting an image thru its surface. She changes her appearance on a whim and is an excellent mimic, but she likes looking like this. Her clothes are inspired by the form of coral reefs.

... This is kind of blurring the line between AI art and traditional art more than any of my previous pieces. I did a LOT of the painting on this. Dall-E 2, love it, just isn't going to be able to draw octopus eyes on a humanoid face, and while it did a good job, I had needed to guide its hand more than I ever have before.

Happy with the end results though c:

... Effie as a character long predates the concepting of Dream Doll Duelists and she's not exactly a DDD character, but I do plan for her to show up in the postgame. I don't plan for that to exist for at least a couple more years, but I was thinking about her now, and while unable to work on other stuff I just felt like drawing this.

A more recently concepted character for Dream Doll Duelists. Dr. dePon is a scientist who has replaced most of her body with mechanical parts and has taken on the aesthetic of a clockwork faerie. She only has four fingers on each hand. In battle, her abilities are themed around puzzle games. When the amount of Strikes, Counters, and Support skills she uses in a turn are equal, all her units gets a power boost for that turn. Her character skills support this by letting her spend meter to add a single action of one type or to let her swap cards between units. She's a recurring character who kind of wants to be Lex's science rival. She's always somewhere around at the tournaments, and she likely will have a small part to play in the very Lex-focused chapter 3 of DDD.

Art generated with the help of Dall-E 2. I didn't have much of a view of the character before starting, so there was relatively little of my own painting used to guide it, and in the final piece my extant brushstrokes are mostly just to fix blemishes and close generational seams.
