While in Ul'dah i started my investigation into the masked man or is that masked men? Thinks for a moment and checks notes, before taking a quick sip of faer drink. My investigation in Ul'dah came up dry. Smol laugh at bad joke.
So, I made my way to Gridania to see what i could find. I found myself wandering all over the North Shroud looking for clues. The bugger(s) are clever and didn't leave much of a trace, but I can be a rather determined Elf when i need to be.
I started looking around Fallgourd Float and ran into a smol crew of adventurers. They looked troubled and like they had gotten into something rather deep.
I befriended them and started to ask a few questions. It turns out they had seen some rather suspicious things happening in the surrounding area that might be tied to the Masked Man or Men. Yay! I thought to myself and did a subtle happy dance.
As our conversation progressed, each memeber had me look into different things in the surrounding area. One had me check out some rocks which they thought were odd, but it turns out i just gathered some crystals for them... Face plam and slightly annoyed.
That's okay! As my investigation continued and a few more leads came up dry. They had me check out a body. I can't remember if it was one of their friends or not? Checks notes.
I found the body and a fly eye creature appeared! Shock gasp. Oh, no! Not to worry as Chocobo Lucky and I made quick work of the beast. Shame it had to be evil. It was kinda neat and i would've liked to study it.
I recovered the body and proceeded to inform the Twin Adders in the area before telling the smol crew about what was found.
My investigation now lead me to back to New Gridania!
