hmm, those fingernails are glowing, too, I see... goodness though, that panic has to be hard, hoping this freckled buddy here gets a ton more comforting real fast, rocket's gonna need it.
That's gotta be stressful.
But also where can we get some of that green stuff to test?

Maybe I'm just a sucker for angst, but this part really is one of the most interesting bits of the process with TF things to me. Conflict in TF stories is always about the mis-match of body and self-image, and while I do very much enjoy the stories where TF is the solution to that conflict, there's just something so emotionally raw about stories where it is the cause. It makes the climb out of that pit afterward all the more potent, at least for me.
