People simply do not appreciate the weird later books enough. It would be so sick if they somehow got all the way to God Emperor, especially if they just really went for it in terms of unhinged production design.
The 5th book is where they lose me but I can still very much appreciate the "fuck it" knob just being torn off
I genuinely enjoy 5 and 6, but I can understand why most people are just put off by them. They certainly aren't good
