I made a very simple little analogy off the top of my head about why constantly seeing social media numbers is bad for your brain and holy fuck some of you still need to detox and go outside because the amount of people who thought it was normal to send me literal paragraphs of "well actually that analogy isn't perfect and let me tell you why" is more than I expected cohost to have. I'm not even against people saying I'm wrong and the "numbers are good in very specific situations" kind of nitpicking because that's just adding to the conversation with an opinion I might not have considered. But this is simply finger wagging nonsense that comes of insanely smug and annoying. If you were at a party and you spent 5 minutes explaining why someones analogy doesn't 100% align with reality every time someone makes one, I would really consider never inviting you back.

I just had to delete the post. It even caused me to block my first person.

Everyone, please, leave pedantry and "dunks" on twitter. I promise you'll be happier and healthier when you let go of the urge to look like the smartest baby in the room. I don't think any of these people are bad people it's just proof that normal social media has melted us from the inside out

I'm also silencing this post because I know dwelling on these things is unhealthy and thats like the opposite of what I want when I go on here

in reply to @CoolTimesOnline's post:

I saw that post had 10 comments and I thought "wow, glad so many people are chiming in to agree" and didn't even read them 🤦‍♂️ hate that you had to delete a true and correct post bc of some lame-o ppl

Yeah, as much as I love cohost unfortunately it can't fully solve for people being Bad At Online. Blocking early and often is still the best move imo lmao. Or silencing! it's nice to just make a weird person Disappear sometimes
