Been listening to the Sonic 1 & 2 soundtracks over the past week and it just got me thinking again, those end-of-game medleys of the level themes are such a cool way of summarising the variety and richness of the soundtracks. Their re-appearance in Generations really highlighted just how delightful it can be too. Don't get me wrong, I am all over the prominence of the vocal themes for Sonic games and also I understand the scores are now so much bigger that a straight medley would be unwieldy, but given how long the credits sequences are these days I think it would be Way Past Cool to have a medley of particular key level themes pop up after the game's main theme.
