God I was googling things about Guile and I found a long thread on Steam called something like "People who play Zoners, why?" and it's basically this person complaining about zoning, why are there long ranged fighters in a "melee centric game," it's not fun, etc. etc. You can tell this person lost to JP a few times and got insanely tilted by it.
And all of the people trying to explain to them the dynamics of zoning, the tools you have to deal with it, how zoners fit into the overall scheme of a fighter, this person just replies with a bunch of defensive crap basically complaining about how "unfair" it all is.
Like at that point you're not even engaging with the game, right? You're just wishing that this game was something that it's not. JP is annoying to fight against yeah but try learning how he works and what you can do against him. I hope I was never that annoying at my saltiest
I like playing Guile because 1) I don't like doing long combos, 2) playing him feels like it rewards my patience and playing smartly. I like using his sobats to keep fuckers away from me. I like when I'm able to predict a jump and I kick them out of the sky. It makes my brain feel good.
