Charlies Martinet stepping back from voicing Mario and others is certainly big news and a big deal. But... idk, I kind of don't care? I don't know. I don't quite have the fondness or attachment to his Mario voice that a lot of people apparently do-- Mario mostly "speaks" in short voice clips and whoops and grunts. Honestly I can never tell when there's no voices recorded for Mario or if they just used archival voice clips.
I just see it as "well he's been doing it for 30 years, good on him for getting to rest." I'm not like... upset about it like some people apparently are. idk!
