I remember agreeing with the idea that Avatar (James Cameron) had no "lasting culturual impact" because no one on earth can name a single character from it, but over time I've realized that people online have a weird and not accurate idea of what "lasting cultural impact" even is. Pop culture now moves much faster than it did in the 80s or whatever
