Jason X is a movie that has its fans and I get it-- it's really stupid and the filmmakers knew it. There is no attempt to make "Jason Voorhees in the future in space" a serious premise. "Crystal Lake Research Facility" is still really funny
But god the movie just felt so insincere and miserable to me. All of the stupid shit that other people enjoy just sucked the life out of me. I remember @alexcat described it as a "movie that afflicts you with a debuff" when you've finished watching it which is the best way that I can describe it
