explode

between feeling like I'm posting into the void and also the growing amount of bad takes and bad discourse I've seen on this site lately, I'm just like, hmm I wonder if I should keep posting here

postybirb doesn't crosspost here so I have to manually post, and then the whole video things got me like, it's a lot of effort for what feels like nothing

in reply to @CyanSorcery's post:

Hmm. I can definitely understand the feeling of "posting into the void," and I probably haven't personally really done anything to help you with that feeling by just silently following and silently enjoying your art. I personally find commenting on others' posts much more enjoyable on cohost than elsewhere, which definitely significantly mitigates my own "posting into the void" feelings, but it doesn't sound like that's what you're looking for in a site. I like cohost as site to just sort of post stuff on my mind and interact with strangers and friends in a way that vibes with me, but I could understand it not being for everyone.

Yeah, it can be tough. I do consider myself shy as well (in the form of "defers to letting other people speak over me and conflict adverse," weirdly still completely willing to speak my mind and do stuff without feeling judgement), but I do have the bravery to comment on things (since I know it makes other people happy at least).

i don't see nearly as many bad takes as it sounds like you're seeing... is it in comments on your posts or stuff that's being shared? if it's the latter maybe just trimming the people that share discourse off your following list would be a good idea for now?

Kinda surprised no one seems to have come up with that functionality. Or, maybe I saw it somewhere, but damned if I remember the github page :P

At the end of the day, you gotta do you. I follow you multiple places, and I appreciate seeing your stuff different places. I don't want to come off as being weird, tho, like if I'm boosting everything everywhere the second it gets posted. Anxieties, y'know?

share away!! 😳

but yea, it's been discussed about cohost integration and I think the dev is aware of it, but I think everyone's just waiting on that hot API to drop so they can just implement it that way (so they're not doing the same thing Twice)
