I've finally written the blog post I didn't want to write, which talks about the difficulties I'm facing as a self-employed creator, some immediate financial issues I'm facing, and what's been going on this past year and a half. I don't know what will happen by talking about it, but the time is now or never

Wanna say thank you to the people who have sent me kind messages and also the new patrons I got, people who sent some money in kofi, and people who bought that EP. You guys are what keep me going despite everything

that really sucks... I apologize if it's something you've already thought about, and it's by no means a magical fix, but from what I've seen you seem like you have serious capability for web dev or other programming even without direct experience - I didn't know any php and picked it up on the job - I feel like that would be an improvement over food service and a lot of potential for remote work...

bums me out to see you stuck in this spot, and definitely not ideal as a creator, but I feel strongly seeing what you do that you could pull something off there -- sorry if the advice is unwelcome at all though

heh, I knew even with my thoroughness that someone would suggest something I forgot to consider (I'll be adding this to the post after)

I've thought about trying to do web dev professionally, but honestly, I mainly just do web programming to get the job done. I don't particularly enjoy it except in short bursts, and I much rather prefer game programming. So yea, I couldn't really imagine myself doing web development on the regular (which is also why I don't take website commissions)

However, all in all, it is a possibility that I might want to consider more...

I've helped my friend with a basic working knowledge of php/html/js get a remote job for it with decent pay, so I feel morally obligated to throw it out there at least haha, but I understand not having a passion for it for sure (if you decide to look into it and don't want just wordpress, Laravel is a pretty sweet framework that people like)
