yeah. apparently there's just games on youtube. no one cares about them because 1: the menu to access them is hidden in the sidebar with literally no advertising and 2: they are all preexisting mobile games or google doodles ported over. they also play and run like dogwater.

they largely seem to be the same games available at the AARP website (yes, really), at that (though there are some licensed ones like Cut The Rope, on top ot them). the hilarious thing to me too is that they couldn't call the page "Games" because they already have a "Gaming" category that isn't this, so instead they call it "Playables" which is a normal human thing to call a video game.

wow every single one of these is so completely nothing. they’re all perfectly derivative works with not a single breath of earnest creativity to be found (except maybe “Rainy Boba Cafe” if only because it doesn’t look like it’s made exclusively of clipart). that’s a whole feat in and of itself. how do companies even find so many people who are clearly capable of the artistic craft of creating video games who are either totally devoid of ambition or have had it totally crushed out of them?

The majority of these seem to be Google Play games that had the predatory monetization taken out of them, meaning you can rack up tons of "gems" or other currencies that you would typically spend for lootboxes or other things, that you can now spend on nothing in the Youtube version.
