Started watching Legend of Korra, since I never did see the whole show. The second season feels really stiff in the writing. Lots of good ideas floating around, good plot threads to pull at, just not really pulling them in interesting ways. I think part of it is Korra doesn't seem emotionally invested. Like sure she's conflicted about her uncle and her dad but she just kind of let's things happen in a way that feels too passive, even if she's trying really hard to play the role of Avatar properly. She's supposed to be impulsive and it takes forever for her to start doing impulsive things. Granted I'm on episode 4. Hopefully it picks up.
