So, I've seen a common misconception that "Duck and Cover" was useless advice and the entire campaign was really just meant to reassure the public. While there certainly was plenty of that, duck and cover is actually very useful advice. Sure, it won't protect you if you're at ground zero, and school desks are not immune to nuclear weapons. But that was never the point.

You see, we don't live in a video game where explosions destroy everything within a specific radius and leaves everything outside of said radius completely unharmed. In real life you can be well outside of the instant death zone and still be affected in a number of ways. Firstly there's the bright flash of light which can cause blindness and will give you the worst sunburn of all time. Duck and cover protects the eyes and face from this. And secondly there's an Earthquake followed by a shock wave, which can knock stuff over and/or collapse buildings. Again, ducking and covering can protect your head and generally make falling objects less likely to kill you. More importantly, those school desks have a better chance of holding up to a collapsing school ceiling than an unprotected child. Also, that shock wave can shatter windows; so again, ducking and covering protects your face and vitals from flying shards of glass.

Also, the main radiation danger is not from the explosion itself. That's not that big of a deal outside of its immediate surroundings. The real danger is the fallout. Being able to see the horribly bright flash of light doesn't mean you're automatically getting super cancer.

Note: None of this means you're likely to survive in the event of a nuclear war, just that ducking and covering is actually a good idea in said event, and not just useless advice.

There was a meme a while back where He-Man came out as non-binary and changed their name to They-Man. That's dumb and wrong. They wouldn't change their name to They-Man, they change it to He-[something other than man] (ignoring that He-Man is an alias, not an actual name). In the lore, the "He" part of the name isn't gendered.
See, there are six characters with a name in that style. Obviously Adam and Adora (He-Man and She-Ra, respectively) are the first two. Then we have Adam's future son, He-Ro, the twins' ancient ancestor, also called He-Ro, He-Ro's son, Tay-Larr, and the actual founder of their line, Tay-Larr's daughter, He-Ra. Thus we can conclude that "He-" is gender neutral on Eternia. Based on both He-Ros being men and both He-Ra and She-Ra being women, we can also conclude that the second part of the name probably is gendered, with "-Ro" as masculine and "-Ra" as feminine.

Why do I know this? Not because I'm particularly a fan of He-Man. I just read weird wikis sometimes, for fun.

Also, if it wasn't clear, it's not actually dumb and wrong. I just need to put my useless trivia somewhere.

Getting Republicans to back my plan to further fund and empower a government agency created to protect the great land of the United States of America by a Republican president who's Leftist and Liberal detractors called "a war criminal" and "a regular criminal" without telling them I mean the EPA.
