daily garfield: one of the first companies to produce garfield merchandise was dakin. only 3 years into the comic's run, they came out with the first of what would go on to be a long, long line of garfield plushies. you may have even grown up with one of them! 
Coincidentally, Facebook just gave me war flashbacks to when I was the plushie sorter for the thrift store. I have seen all these Garfields. All of them.
