Author commentary: Dave is working really hard to retrieve that egg. But what exactly does he think he's going to do with it once he gets it? Sit on it? It's not improbable that's what he's thinking about exactly this issue right now, as he climbs. It's also not improbable that he's thinking, "what am i going to do sit on it? yeah maybe ill just sit on it. what else are you supposed to do to hatch an egg."
