Author commentary: Davesprite's answer to Dave's question also happens to be, word for word, the last line of dialogue in the entire story. And while the words are the same color, they aren't spoken by the same guy. Who could it be? Chances are, you already know. Why is it repeated at that moment? Let's just say that at this point in time, we are establishing these lines as a symbolic exchange between two cool guys who have decided to trust each other so absolutely that no particularly important questions need to be asked, nor do informative answers need to be provided.
