this entire OST is a master class in how to work with the limits of a single GBC compositionally to create a genuinely full sound, and it's a genuine technical marvel. but also it's catchy as hell and so heavily inspired by stuff by bands like Casiopea & other Japanese jazz fusion from a similar time period
shoutout to the new 8-Bit Music Theory video on this game for making me remember how much i love this ost. now i wanna play the game again and also do EVEN MORE chiptune.
i'd never heard of this soundtrack until the 8-bit music theory video yesterday and i'm still shocked at how good it is. how had no one told me about it before? it's the best game boy game soundtrack i've ever heard!
