Hey you know what Johto was known for? Awful level scaling and having to grind pokémon up to level 14 on level 6 pokémon :)
I like Soul Silver and Johto, but fucking christ I do not miss the days of spending hours beating up pokémon so you weren't somehow 10 levels lower, like Silver almost KO-ing me and my level 12 Magnemite holding the line against a level 18 Bayleef with Thunder Wave and Flash.
Modern EXP Share + EXP Candy have made pokémon games way more enjoyable as well as accessible to play without it feeling like a second job
