this post is wrong 2 me , cus it implies that sega will Accidently have their games have the most insane soundtracks in the world

you couldnt be more dead wrong. from the Very Beginning , those bitches Knew what they were doin when they hired Dreams Come True to make Sonic 1's soundtrack. they Knew they were gonna make the most Memorable and Tasty soundtrack in the world. And then u have their own in house sound team , the SEGA SOUND TEAM , who made soundtracks for things like OutRun and all those other Sega arcade games that ppl still talk about ... Sega literaly composed nearly All of Sonic 3's soundtrack .. but then they hired Micheal Jackson's team to make like , 8 songs out of the like Nearly 30 Crazy Ass Tracks in that game , and people regard that soundtrack as one of the best out of the classic trilogy !! I Could Go On for all the composers who worked on like , every other Sonic game . my favorite soundtrack , the japanese Sonic CD soundtrack , was composed by two ppl who ,at least from wat i remember , were sent out to an Expensive Professional Studio to create one of the best soundtracks of all time . . . . .

Sega Knew What They Were Doin ! Its Kind of like , Their Identity ! Say wat u will about their games , but at least Most Of The Time they go out of their way to hire people to make some sick ass music . . and i havent even talked about stuff like Sonic Rush , Daytona USA , Metropolis Street Racer ... Or even the fuckin Albums Sega has produced . . . cool ass music is part of their identity , i think ! and u better not forget it !!

thats all for this silly little post . teehee. sorry if i got anything wrong .. jk im not sorry XD

Honestly the fact that pretty much every Sonic game developed in house (and a couple out of house such as Sonic R) shows that they know it's not accidental.

I know Japan gets a lot of OST releases for games, but Sonic has been extremely consistent on pretty much every instance of a Sonic game since 1998 generally has an OST release attached to it.

The "accident" SEGA has with Sonic specifically and it's music is that a lot of the people making the decisions for the longest time couldn't fully grasp why it had the reputation it did. I'm not kidding on this, Jun Senoue for the longest time was the main in house SEGA guy who understood it, and it took a lot of pushing from fans (both externally and the community teams) before SEGA finally got on board with the idea of doing more with it such as pushing select OST tracks as prerelease material

For example First OST releases for

Nothing before Forces, even though we know for all the games various faults they had banging OSTs. It's anecdotal for me to say this I realise but I've been around the Sanic Fandom and spoken with peeps who went on to do community events like Summer of Sonic and know the "???" they got when focusing on this kind of thing, not just at the idea of a Sonic fan convention.

The symphony concert especially will have been in the making with internal pushes from the community teams as more and more people from the fandom got involved in official positions alongside Jun Senoue and Tomoya Ohtani likely going "hey?", and I think we're all glad for it.

I am happy that SEGA is beginning to embrace it's sound library more and more but god it's been a weird road to get here
