Brosnan's out of the role just a year after EA creates one of the best games of its time with the 007 license. What now? Why, get Sir Sean Connery back to play Bond, of course! That's right, 22 years after Never Say Never Again, he steps back into the role to voice Bond in a game that's a more tuned up version of its predecessor. Combat and driving are polished to a fine sheen, yet for all the steps it takes forwards, it can't help itself to take two steps backward. It's mechanically better, yet I found EoN more memorable.

Final ranking from best to worst:

NightFire = Everything or Nothing>From Russia with Love>Agent Under Fire>GoldenEye: Rogue Agent

What a doozy. If you ever need a game to put you to sleep, GoldenEye: Rogue Agent is a great contender. Featuring 7 hours of monotonous hallway shooting, this Halo clone drops 8 incredibly padded levels on your lap. When I'd first played this game as a kid, I was blown away since I had never seen a GameCube game with 2 discs before! It also made me curious about why I never finished it.

Suffice to say, it was really boring. And a few hours too long for its own good! Replaying on PCSX2, I quickly grew into the habit of completing a level, then stopping for a session. The game's that boring, a crying shame the concept of being a Bond villain is made into an unvaried hallway shooter. I've heard the multiplayer is fun, and to its credit the game does have a few great weapons amidst its uninspired gunplay. The Mk. 2 Detonator and Mag-Rail have very cathartic sound design and sleek weapon design, props to the Venom 200ml as well, a great companion to setup Mag-Rail kills.

2/5. The game's very boring. If it weren't for the decent graphics, soundtrack, and concept, I probably would've dropped this if I weren't such a diehard 007 fan. Luckily for me, the last game of my marathon is From Russia with Love, otherwise known as Everything or Nothing: Quality of Life Improvements Edition

Lately, I've had a nostalgic hankering to revisit the 007 games I had on GameCube as a wee lass. Everything or Nothing was in the middle of my 5 game marathon, and boy howdy, is it still a damn good time! Has some issues with clunky lock-on aiming and the vehicle levels having some awkward controls, but the production values and all-star cast prevent me from being too critical. Who can dog on a game that has not only Pierce Brosnan reprising his role as Bond, but Willem goddamn Dafoe as the main villain?
