Between my shorter games, I had an itch. A Dark Souls 2 itch. But I decided to act on an idea I had kicking around: Crossbows! For inspiration, I looked to one of my favorite anime, Symphogear, to build Chris Yukine from the ground up. While I ain't anywhere near dual Avelyns yet, she's been having a hell of a time. And quite honestly, this time around, Forest of Fallen Giants was extremely easy! Guess that comes with the territory of being able to kite your foes around and firing off shots without getting up close and personal. I think I've got a dragonrider to visit tomorrow!
One more DLC to go. An optional boss to give a right beating. A family heirloom to inherit. A giant tree man to defeat. These are all that stand in my way before conquering the longest Souls game, and boy howdy, am I gonna need a break. Dark Souls 2 is one of the greatest slippery slopes anyone can play. You can talk about those hitboxes til the cows come home, but man have I been eating this one up. Doesn't quite hold a candle to Dark Souls 1 in some regards, but it sure is one bright light!
