Dorks look down on it but having the NPC mindset rocks, I'm constantly giving helpful advice to strangers and giving them quests. Today I told the bus driver about how the LBJ museum had half off admission and he was like THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WANNA DO TODAY and started planning his trip. I once gave a tutorial to a tourist about how to use Google maps so they could get to a BBQ joint. No better way to live baby 😎
Glad I look enough like a local now that I've become the public transport NPC. Yeah I can tell you which buses go where and how to get to the subway, let's do it up. I can even tell you the nearest good coffee shop to each stop on the red line, which you're gonna need 'cause navigating is a headache if you don't live here.
