As someone who didn't really love Terrifier or the short films, Terrifier 2 fucks. Just a great time with some really fun practical effects gore and a fantastic villain, Art really comes into his own in this one.
I personally think the hype around the gore is a bit overblown, though I admit I'm an avid slasher fan so I'm biased. Personally, I think it's too over the top and campy to be disturbing. It's less a "wince in sympathetic pain" kind of movie and more a "laugh because you didn't expect that to happen" kind of deal.
Anyway, I definitely recommend this one. It's a little long and wouldn't have suffered from a bit of trimming in the editing room, but that's nowhere near a deal breaker. Give it a go if you're looking for a slasher movie that's gonna go all in on every kill.
