Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness might be one of the most mid superhero movies of all time but I'm glad it exists solely for the responses it got from a specific chunk of casual moviegoers.
Sam Raimi made a boilerplate superhero flick, threw in a couple relatively tame references to The Evil Dead and one admittedly very creative bit of bloodless body horror, and the crowd that reads PG-13 on a movie poster and thinks of Free Guy instead of Raiders of the Lost Ark lost their fucking minds. You'd think there was live autopsy footage in that thing from some of my Marvel fan friends had to say about it.
