Actually crushed.
This is one of the few places left on the internet where I felt like I was treated as more than a source of income. I think being on here really helped me to redefine my relationship to media, and I really appreciated that when I posted something on here it felt like people were taking my words in good faith. I don't know that there are other places like that left when this one goes.

I don't love that place either, but I already use it for other things and I'd rather not lose touch with you all. I have greatly enjoyed speaking with many of you. As for where you can find me online, I'll post that some time soon. I've been working on a neocities page and I guess I should bump up the timeline on getting that done. Maybe I'll dust off the tumbler I never use, who knows.
At the end of the day, this place is a website. Without wishing to devalue the work of the staff, who have done a very fine job of designing and running this place with some bumps along the way, it's you all who made it special. You all, who wanted a site for conversations instead of metrics. A place away from chasing ever-rapidly shifting trends. We may be scattered soon, sooner than we thought but we are still online, still posting. I believe we will find each other once again.
