Don't Take It Personally, I Just Don't Like You is currently on sale for 25% off! We're calling this the back to school sale as it's that time of year, it's about your first few months of college, and I, the person actively developing it, am currently going back to school for the first time in over half a decade.

Make friends! Try to date those friends (success not guaranteed)! Camp out illegally on government property! All this and more, with three out of five routes finished, a fourth in testing as we speak, and a fifth on the way!

Whole lot of ink spilled about the failure of the Braid Anniversary Edition like it isn't a update to an over fifteen-year-old game that a lot of people already own through steam sales/humble bundle. And that, while it garnered a lot of critical success off a last-level twist and post-game secret ending, most people interested already know both because they've been heavily discussed in that fifteen year old time frame. And that it's creator has lost, to put it mildly, a lot of goodwill from both players and other developers due to his comments on social media.

There are a lot of structural issues facing games right now! I don't think they're what fucked over this game, though!

I am writing/programming a dating sim in development, but you can play the first three (of five) routes now! It's called Don't Take It Personally, I Just Don't Like You and it's about the messy, sometimes doomed-from-the-start relationships you get into when you're in the process of becoming an actual adult. And it's now 25% of itch.io (and that other digital distribution platform, if you're into that).

Not sold? Well, a few years prior to release we put out a stand-alone prequel focusing on two of the characters from what would go on to become the full game: Rose, the rule-abiding-and-enforcing student council member with a not-so-subtle crush on you, and Maria, struggling punk and the living embodiement of the phrase "be gay do crimes." And you're out in the woods with them! Alone! Have fun keeping them from fighting!
