anodyne on steam https://store.steampowered.com/app/234900/Anodyne/
the gist is that over 2020-2023, fans ported Anodyne to C# (https://github.com/PixieCatSupreme/AnodyneSharp) based on my open sourcing of the original version. Another fan and FNA maintainer (Ethan Lee) - then ported the port to fix stuff for steam/consoles. Then I licensed both and worked with Ethan to fix some last things to get it ready for PC, and am releasing it as a free update on the 23rd!
this has been a long time coming because the original version has broken controller support/other issues on PC. The current console version has a few bugs/performance issues, not to mention old names. (We'll be updating the console one next year or 2025 when we can issue updates to all consoles/new switch together). So I've always been kind of worried when or if an OS upgrade would permanently break Anodyne... (there's already mysterious bugs preventing the game from starting on some computers).
Anyways now we're fine and the game will work for eternity! Ha ha ha... the power of open Source.
it's the same game, but with some nice QoL changes and 60 FPS stuff that doesn't really change the core experience.
