The Last Detail Review

There’s a big hole where the gut punch is supposed to go. Those big moments, mostly of Jack going off, are frankly too soft or at least not bolstered by more shenanigans in a movie that seems to think it’s having fun. Defeatism crossed with road movie fun minus the side splitting. Ending on a literal shrug feels intended as a fuck you, but I just sat their nodding my head. Nothing made me happier or sadder than Ashby’s cameo in the bar.
