You like that flashy transition shot in Empty Man? Well, have at least two more with far less thematic relevance! Seriously, I’m not convinced this is the same director. Maybe it’s the editor’s fault we got all those shots of CG spiders? Or the art director for making sure the warehouse/morgue only ever looks like a set. We def know it’s fucking Goyer the script reads like a teenager’s mid 2000s web comic. That sudden turn into sputtering gore and unconfident delivery of existential horror reeks of cynicism. Childish, dull, and shoddy as hell.
