The Case of Hana & Alice Review

I’m already a sucker for rotoscope, but this may be the first time I’ve seen such a work that has the same delightfully crunchy sound as Bakshi’s films. Gives the film a texture and realness in lockstep with what they’re doing with these delicate and expressive performances that meld perfectly with the animation. That soundscape sadly has to share runtime with some truly awful music and I can only get so engaged with school drama, but it’s a pleasant enough time & I can recommend it on the presentation alone.
