Recent article by the times titled “Scripted TV production has virtually stopped in L.A. nearly two months after writers’ strike began” says film permits are no longer being issued. A little tough to say as I see crews operating in and around my own job in the industry. The article goes on to stress the effectiveness of the WGA strike so far and the possibility of SAG joining in (as a negative), the effect on non-union jobs like Independent Studio Services (ISS) which cut about 20 employees, and the financial cost to the city and state with the kind of grandiosity that means nothing to people paying $10 for eggs.
